Severn Trent Water in Wales is seeking a Network Optimisation Technician to join our Packsaddle site. The role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, focused on monitoring, evaluating and optimising the clean water network to improve performance and reduce leakage.
You will work with the Network Optimisation Specialist and Support Technician, using hydraulic modelling to analyse asset performance and produce technical reports that support investment decisions and regulator compliance.

As our Network Optimisation Technician, you'll play a key role in helping us deliver excellent service to our customers by ensuring our water distribution network operates efficiently and effectively. You'll use your technical expertise to monitor, evaluate and optimise our clean water network, helping to improve performance and reduce leakage.
Working closely with our Network Optimisation Specialist and Support Technician, you'll investigate asset performance, analyse network issues and produce technical reports using hydraulic modelling. You'll provide valuable insight and recommendations that support investment decisions, improve service levels and help us deliver a reliable supply of clean water to the communities we serve.
We're looking for someone with experience working with water networks or utility assets within an operational or engineering environment. You'll have a good understanding of hydraulic principles and hydraulic modelling, with the ability to analyse data, investigate issues and identify effective solutions.
You'll also have strong IT skills, including experience using spreadsheets and presenting complex information through reports and graphical analysis. An understanding of the Water Regulatory Framework would be advantageous, although this isn't essential. Most importantly, you'll be a proactive problem solver who is passionate about delivering excellent service and driving continuous improvement.
