Job summary

Daval Associates is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team in the waste management sector near Ashbourne. You will maintain, service, and repair mobile and static plant machinery, and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults across loaders, conveyors, shredders, balers and compactors.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, this temporary-to-permanent role offers a £20 per hour rate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Maintenance Fitter.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with heavy plant or waste/recycling machinery is desirable.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
• Reliable, proactive and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair mobile and static plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Work on equipment including loaders, conveyors, shredders, balers and compactors.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain safe working practices and accurate maintenance records.
