Job summary

Severn Trent Water is recruiting a Metering Technician to cover postcodes SY1-SY5. The role is field-based, out in communities, gathering meter readings and assisting customers with billing questions.

A full UK driving licence is required, and you’ll work set shifts with no weekends. You’ll need strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, the ability to plan and prioritise work, and the resilience to work in a target-driven remote team.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
• Ability to think objectively to plan, prioritise and resolve work in the most effective way possible.
• The ability to work in a demanding target driven environment as part of a remote based team.
• Confidence to review and discuss work carried out by contract partners and challenge quality and effectiveness of work where required.
• Ability to manage jobs through until completion, share learnings with your team and deal with customer escalations and complaints where required.
