Job summary

Healthcare 21 is seeking a practical Medical Support Technician (X-Ray) to join our field service team. Based from home with regular travel, you will install, service and maintain X-ray related equipment, ensuring safety and performance in clinical environments.

You will work independently with support from experienced engineers, perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and approved repairs, document service activities, and coordinate with customers to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Must have practical aptitude in mechanical/electromechanical work.
• Willing to travel regularly to customer sites across the UK and Ireland.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service support for assigned products and carry out maintenance.
• Carry out installations, planned preventative maintenance, safety checks, fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Complete approved repairs or component replacements; escalate complex faults when required.
• Maintain service reports, digital records, spare parts and tools; inform customers and internal teams of progress.
