Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a Materials Testing Technician to carry out soils, asphalt, concrete and aggregate testing across South Yorkshire on live construction sites from its Doncaster operation.

The role requires proven site experience in construction materials testing, a full UK driving licence, and strong client-facing communication skills. Base salary is up to £35,000 with overtime opportunities, plus benefits such as Medicash and gym membership.

Qualifications

• Proven site experience in construction materials testing (soils, asphalt, concrete, aggregates).
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Confident working independently on live construction sites.
• High attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• On-site sampling and in-situ testing of soils, asphalt, concrete and aggregates.
• Liaising directly with site managers, engineers and clients.
• Accurate recording, checking and reporting of test data.
• Working to quality systems and test procedures.
