Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Building Maintenance Supervisor for a social housing contract in Staines. The role is field-based and focuses on leading a team delivering reactive repairs and planned maintenance across occupied properties.

The candidate will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating resources and maintaining strong resident communications. A City & Guilds or equivalent trade qualification and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance/Supervisor in housing or property maintenance.
• Strong track record in Health & Safety compliance and reporting.
• Experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance in occupied properties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reactive repairs and planned maintenance across occupied properties.
• Lead and coach a team of operatives, with performance management.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to regulations in all works.
• Coordinate resources, schedules, and priorities to meet service targets.
• Liaise with residents, client representatives, and suppliers to coordinate service delivery.
