Job summary

Omega Red Group is seeking a Lightning Protection Test Engineer to survey, test, inspect, and report on lightning protection and buried earthing systems across client sites. This field-based role focuses on delivering accurate assessments and practical recommendations to help clients stay compliant and reduce risk.

You will travel to diverse sites, use specialist testing equipment and digital reporting tools, and work with engineers to uphold standards and improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in lightning protection and earthing systems.
• Experience with electrical testing, inspection or commissioning.
• Field-based engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, surveys, and testing of lightning protection and earthing systems.
• Assess system condition and identify faults and maintenance needs.
• Produce clear reports with findings and recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance on performance and compliance.
• Ensure work follows standards and regulations.
• Travel to various sites and maintain health, safety, and quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain service quality.
