Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Kent and the South East England region. You will install and support EPOS hardware in client sites, ensuring systems operate to defined standards and procedures.

The role requires hands-on, self-motivated individuals with strong attention to detail and good communication skills. A field-based position offering company van and equipment. Permanent contract and competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience with EPOS installations and support.

• Basic numeric and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation of new EPOS hardware including data cabling and deployment of systems using documented procedures.
• Provide EPOS operational standards advice – via telephone, modem, Best Practice and/or training.
• Ensure availability in defined territory(s) and hold adequate spares.
• Ensure build/repair processes are followed at all times.
• Keep repair centers and vehicles clean and functional at all times.
• Asset track and assign deployed/repaired systems to correct customer.
• Support non-EPOS PC-based ordering systems.
• Support the Helpdesk team as required.
• Communicate observations of potential future IT issues.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer,fieldbased in Kent, you will be covering South East of England

We are looking for someone who is motivated, friendly, hands-on and passionate about delivering great service. Your role will include prioritising and providing the best service in terms of new EPOS installations and specialist support as outlined below. We are looking for someone who will enjoy working alone or as part of a small team and has great attention to detail.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Installation of new EPOS hardware including, data cabling if appropriate Installation and deployment of systems using correct and documented procedures
• Provide EPOS operational standards advice – Via Telephone, modem, Best Practice and/or training
• Ensuring personal availability at all times required within defined territory(s)
• Holding adequate spares availability at all times within defined territory(s)
• Ensuring that all aspects of the build and repair process are followed at all times
• Ensuring all areas of the repair center and vehicles are in a clean & acceptable workable state at all times
• Compliance that all deployed/repaired systems are asset tracked and assigned to the correct customer
• Ensuring non-EPOS PC based ordering systems are supported and available at all times
• Support the Helpdesk team as required
• Communicate any observations of future potential issues which may arise from any IT system

Key Skills:

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required
• An Electrical qualification is preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of structured data cabling is preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
