Job summary

Scottish Centre for Social Research (ScotCen) is seeking a Field Interviewer to visit homes across Scotland and conduct in‑home interviews on health, housing, transport and daily life. You will record responses using a NatCen device while presenting a respectful, listening‑focused approach.

Role requires 20 hours per week over at least three days, including evenings and weekends. Training is provided, with travel within the assigned area and mileage/paid travel time offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in your local area for in‑home interviews.
• Record responses accurately using NatCen device.
• Ensure interviews are conducted with warmth, respect and good listening.
• Travel within assigned area and manage practical route planning.
