Job summary

NatCen International is seeking a Field Interviewer to visit people in local communities and conduct in-home research interviews on health, housing, transport and daily life across Scotland.

You’ll be trained before you go out on your own, with ongoing support, route planning, and travel time covered. This role offers flexible, part-time hours (at least 20 hours/week) across weekdays, evenings, and weekends, to help reflect lived experiences in policy decisions.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• At least 20 hours available per week.
• Strong verbal and written English.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in your local area and carry out in-home research interviews.
• Record responses accurately to inform policy and services.
• Provide route planning support and manage travel within your patch.
