Job summary

NatCen International is seeking Field Interviewers to visit communities in Scotland, conducting in-home interviews on health, housing, transport and daily life. You will travel within your area, document stories with care, and contribute to decisions affecting services and policy.

Training is provided, and you will connect with a named supervisor for ongoing support. Roles offer flexible, part-time hours across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Right to work in the UK.
• DBS check required.
• Reliable home broadband.
• Willingness to travel across the assigned area.
• Strong verbal and written English.
• Availability of at least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home interviews with Scottish residents and capture insights.
• Plan practical routes and travel within the assigned area.
• Record responses accurately using NatCen devices.
• Attend regular check-ins, training, and support sessions.
• Contribute to reports that inform policy and services.

Skills

Valid UK driving licence
