Job summary

Service Engineer - HVAC / Air Conditioning role with a field-based team in Hereford/West Midlands. You will attend customer sites to carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and commissioning of HVAC systems across commercial and industrial clients.

The role requires City & Guilds 2079, F-Gas 2079-11, full UK driving licence, and strong fault-finding skills. You will work to a 4-hour on-call SLA, mentor apprentices, and benefit from a comprehensive benefits package including pension, generous

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• F-Gas qualification (C&G 2079-11).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong experience within commercial air conditioning service and maintenance.
• Experience with VRV, VRF, chillers, split systems and close-control equipment.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Confident working independently and managing workload.
• Good communication skills and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Attending customer sites to provide technical support and engineering assistance.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, modifications and commissioning of HVAC and air conditioning equipment.
• Responding to emergency call-outs as part of a regional on-call rota, working to a 4-hour response SLA.
• Completing site risk assessments and ensuring all work is carried out safely.
• Identifying additional service opportunities and passing potential leads to the wider business.
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior engineers.
• Maintaining accurate F-Gas records and compliance documentation through digital systems.
