Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Engineer in Herefordshire, offering a field-based role with a competitive salary of £48,000 to £50,000. This permanent, full-time position involves servicing and maintaining HVAC systems at client sites.

You will work independently with support from a regional technical team, carrying out maintenance, fault diagnosis, commissioning, and emergency call-outs, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the business.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Current F-Gas qualification.
• Strong air conditioning service and fault-finding experience.
• Experience with VRV, VRF, chillers, split systems and close-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs, refurbishments and modifications.
• Commission new and existing equipment at customer sites.
• Respond to emergency call-outs as part of a regional rota.
• Complete site risk assessments and maintain accurate service records.
• Support apprentices and trainees with their development.
• Help maintain F-Gas compliance using a digital tracking system.
