Job summary

Metzger Search and Selection Ltd in the South East England region seeks a hands-on General Manager to lead field-based facilities management operations, driving growth and building a scalable, technology-enabled service platform.

This commercially focused operator will lead teams, improve performance and deliver outstanding customer service, while travelling as required to support customers and projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ leadership experience in field service, facilities management or a similar operational environment.
• Proven ability to optimise routes, workflows and service delivery.
• Proven ability to grow a business, lead change and improve operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead field-based facilities management operations, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient service delivery
• Build, motivate and develop high-performing teams, supporting recruitment, engagement and succession planning
• Drive organic growth through excellent customer service, retention and commercial collaboration
• Implement systems, processes and technology that improve consistency, productivity and service quality
• Manage budgets and performance targets, delivering operational and financial objectives
• Support the smooth integration of new customers, contracts and acquisitions
