Job summary

VodafoneThree UK is seeking a Field Engineer to install, commission and maintain Vodafone's fixed and mobile network infrastructure across South London, including Croydon and surrounding areas. This is a field-based, full-time role with 37.5 hours per week and on-call duties.

You will work with Cisco/Juniper/ADVA equipment, DWDM, fibre and copper cabling, and travel between sites. A full UK driving licence and SC security clearance are required, along with a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified telecoms or electronics professional.
• Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting telecoms networks.
• Willing to obtain SC clearance.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain network equipment to high safety standards.
• Work across mobile and fixed networks including fibre and copper.
• Diagnose and resolve faults with minimal disruption to customers and services.
• Climb towers and work at height, maintaining safety certifications.
• Collaborate with field delivery teams, network operations centres, vendors and customers to deliver outcomes.
• Provide professional, customer-focused updates and communications.
