Job summary

VodafoneThree in Newcastle (Field Based) is seeking a Field Engineer to install, commission and maintain the Vodafone network and services to Vodafone standards. You will join the Field Engineering team and work on fixed and mobile networks, delivering reliable connectivity for customers.

The role requires willingness to travel, occasional rooftop work, and the ability to obtain SC clearance. A formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience is expected, with a safety-first

Qualifications

• Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience.
• Provision of service, fault diagnosis and rectification of relevant telecoms technologies.
• Ability to work lone and travel as required.
• Multi-vendor CPE including Cisco, Juniper and ADVA.
• Core transmission technologies including DWDM and Ethernet.
• Mobile networking technologies 3G/4G/5G and associated equipment.
• Fibre and copper cabling and termination.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain the Vodafone network, products and services to Vodafone standards and service levels.
• Follow our HSE Absolute Rules and safety practices.
• Communicate with customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Participate in a 24/7 callout rota and/or shift pattern as required.
• Carry out rooftop and field activities including climbing and lifting.
