Job summary

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Lift and Crane Engineer Surveyor to join our field-based team in the Sutton Coldfield area. The role offers flexible working hours including part-time, job-share and full-time options, with training provided to carry out statutory inspections for various equipment.

You will report findings electronically, bring strong IT literacy, and travel within a reasonable distance from home. A UK driving licence is essential, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Level 4 engineering qualification (HND/HNC) or equivalent.
• Time served or Modern Apprenticeship.
• Hands-on experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with lifts and/or crane equipment is advantageous.
• Full valid UK driving licence.
• Willing and able to work paid overtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on statutory inspections and provide expert opinions.
• Report back using a rugged laptop and issue electronically to clients.
• Communicate clearly and make sound engineering judgements.
• Operate as part of a field-based inspection team covering the Sutton Coldfield area.
