Job summary

Zurich Engineering in Sutton Coldfield seeks a Lift and Crane Engineer Surveyor for flexible hours—part-time, job-share or full-time—covering a defined client base. You will manage your diary, perform statutory inspections and develop mechanical engineering skills in a market-leading inspection team.

Must have Level 4 engineering qualification, hands-on experience, and a UK driving licence; overtime is paid. The role offers training, support, and career development within Zurich Engineering.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification (HND / HNC) in a relevant engineering field.
• Time served or Modern Apprenticeship.
• Hands-on experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with lifts and/or crane equipment is advantageous.
• Full valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work paid overtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on statutory inspections of equipment.
• Provide expert opinion and report findings to clients.
• Document reports using a rugged laptop and issue electronically.
• Communicate clearly to clients and colleagues.
