Job summary

Zurich Insurance UK is seeking a field-based Engineer Surveyor to join our Lift and Crane team covering the Oxford/Bicester area. You’ll balance your own diary with client work, carrying out statutory inspections and reporting findings using a rugged laptop, while delivering expert engineering judgments.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in relevant engineering field; training offered to reach competency.
• Time served or Modern Apprenticeship
• Hands-on experience in engineering discipline
• Background with lifts and/or crane equipment advantageous
• Full valid UK driving licence
• Willingness to work paid overtime

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on statutory inspections and report findings.
• Use rugged laptop to prepare and issue reports electronically.
• Communicate technical judgments clearly to clients.
