Job summary

BPA is seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site supervision and technical oversight for oil and gas pipeline construction across the UK. The role represents the Engineering Department on site, coordinating with contractors, site operators and Project Engineers to deliver safe, efficient and compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Engineering HNC or equivalent technical qualification.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate within 18 months of appointment.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage on-site construction activities in line with BPA procedures and HSSEQ requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, contractors and site operators to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Interface with contractors and site personnel to ensure clear scope and responsibilities, maintaining strong client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and construction programmes and apply sound engineering judgement on site.
• Monitor labour hours and costs, supporting commercial discussions with accurate reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement and safety culture through site-based solutions and reviews.
