Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Civil Engineer to provide technical supervision for enabling works at Capenhurst, Cheshire, UK. The role will primarily be based on the project site with potential travel to Warrington, and requires in-person attendance during enabling activities.

You will collaborate with design, construction and safety teams to ensure drawings and specifications are met, maintain daily records, and support safety and quality objectives on site.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Nuclear or energy sector experience preferred but not required.
• CDM training and NEC contract experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor installation of materials to ensure conformance with drawings.
• Inspect installed components for acceptance and quality.
• Review design documents for completeness and safe construction.
• Support contractor submittals and non-conformance reports.
• Provide engineering assistance to field supervision.
• Develop daily progress and performance reports.
• Communicate with project controls to manage changes to scope and schedule.
