Position Overview: To respond to customer’s field repair and service requests by diagnosing issues and providing detailed information about the problem to the customer and Finning, enabling the creation of a quote that is cost and time efficient.

Main Job Functions

1. Provide an estimated time of arrival at the customer’s site in response to service requests, based on instructions from the branch, including details of customer location, machine, contact person, and nature of the problem.
2. Contact customer’s site management to register arrival and presence, ensuring familiarity with customer procedures to adhere to site requirements.
3. Diagnose equipment problems in discussion with customer operators or supervisors, using specialised equipment, to determine the required work. Provide comprehensive details to facilitate the creation of a quote.
4. Identify necessary parts for repairs, requisition them, and determine expected delivery times to schedule service visits with the customer.
5. Undertake repair and service work according to the work plan, including removing, dispatching components for specialist attention, and reinstalling components to restore the machine to required standards.
