Job summary

CHG Electrical is seeking a proactive Field Electrical Project Engineer to support electrical delivery across water and wastewater projects. The role sits between office, project teams and live sites, ensuring installation, testing and commissioning meet safety and specification requirements.

Based in Ellesmere Port with hybrid and UK-wide site travel, the role offers a car allowance/van, performance bonus, and 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. Full UK driving licence essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical engineering experience in water/utilities or industrial infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret designs, specifications and drawings and ensure compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs and specifications against project requirements.
• Coordinate installation activities with site teams and subcontractors to ensure safety and quality.
• Support RAMS preparation and site activities from commissioning through handover.
• Assist testing, fault-finding, commissioning and verification of systems.
• Contribute to procurement support and technical problem-solving on live sites.
