Job summary

Metalis Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Crane Engineer to service, maintain, inspect and repair cranes and lifting equipment across Yorkshire and the North West. This field-based role involves direct customer interaction and requires strong safety adherence.

You will diagnose faults on motors, control panels and drives, read electrical schematics and complete service reports. A company van and phone are provided for business use under a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably involving cranes or lifting equipment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, inspect and repair overhead travelling cranes, jib cranes and electric hoists.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on cranes and lifting equipment.
• Carry out fault-finding on motors, control panels and drives.
• Complete service reports and inspection documentation accurately.
• Liaise with customers to explain work carried out and any issues identified.
