Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Limited in Yateley, Hampshire is seeking an Electrically Biased Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and install overhead cranes and hoists across customer sites.

The role offers a fully equipped company vehicle, ongoing training and overtime opportunities, plus long‑term career progression within a well‑established engineering business. You will travel to customer sites and perform fault finding, maintenance and commissioning tasks to keep equipment safe and productive.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Strong three-phase electrical knowledge
• Experience fault-finding and repairing industrial electrical systems
• A full UK driving licence
• A proactive, customer-focused approach
• The ability and willingness to work at height
• 18th Edition qualification or a willingness to obtain it

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and maintaining overhead cranes and hoists
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and mechanical faults
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Installing lifting equipment and assisting with commissioning activities
• Providing high levels of customer service whilst on site
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards
• Travelling to customer sites throughout the region

What We're Looking For

You may currently be working as a:

• Electrical Maintenance Engineer
• Field Service Engineer
• Industrial Electrician
• Hoist Engineer

To be successful, you'll ideally have:
