Kier Group is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join the United Utilities Framework in the North West of England. Based in Blackburn, the role focuses on delivering commissioning activities from construction completion through to Take-Over of water MEICA projects.

You will work within a multi-discipline team reporting to the Commissioning Manager, applying your electrical expertise to ensure safe, timely commissioning, fault finding, and successful project handover.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualification and ECS (JIB) Gold Card holder.
• Experience commissioning water processes and MEICA projects with strong electrical engineering background.
• Experience with Authorised Person (LV) duties and safety qualifications (IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS).
• Strong attention to detail; able to produce, check, and complete inspection and test documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work in a multi-discipline team.

Responsabilités

• Electrical inspection of cable terminations and glanding in the field, producing marked-up as-built electrical drawings.
• Testing and commissioning of electrical power and ICA control systems including motors, inverter drives, flow meters, and instrumentation.
• Initial start-up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers, gas boosters, and other process equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
• Identifying and resolving electrical issues through fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Ensuring commissioning activities comply with Electrical Site Safety Rules and Health and Safety regulations.
