Job summary

Vertiv is seeking skilled Cooling Engineers in the Southeast region of England to oversee and maintain cooling systems in data centre facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance through regular maintenance, repairs, and ongoing enhancement activities, with ownership on critical infrastructure tasks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or higher in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Proven experience in mechanical cooling engineering for data centre cooling.
• Strong ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
• Repair and troubleshooting of air conditioning units, chillers and pumps.
• Safety‑first mindset aligned with Vertiv standards.
• Ownership and accountability in critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cooling systems for data centre environments, ensuring safety and operability.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in cooling equipment and infrastructure.
• Read and interpret schematics and system diagrams for accurate repairs.
• Work within a maintenance team during upgrades or construction projects.
• Monitor system performance and keep detailed maintenance records.
