Job summary

A leading thermal management company is looking for a Senior Thermal Customer Engineer to manage maintenance and emergency repairs of thermal management products. You will need excellent customer service skills and relevant qualifications in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. The position involves maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring compliance with company policies. A clean driving license is mandatory, and extensive travel is expected, with significant time spent on service calls in the field.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 & 2, or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning required.
• City and Guilds 2078 or 2079 in Refrigerant Safe Handling is mandatory.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Previous environmental service experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-starter with ability to plan, organise and manage time.
• Clean, valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all assigned service calls professionally.
• Perform work safely per company safety policies.
• Close tasks in Oracle Mobile Field Service daily.
• Update scheduling team on changes and open job status.
• Close tasks in Oracle Mobile Field Service (MFS) daily and complete weekly paperwork.
• Create reports using FieldDB and ensure data sync.
• Report sales or service leads to the proper department.
• Support company vision and management decisions.
• Maintain the company vehicle and tools in good condition.

Job description

Senior Thermal Customer Engineer

Responsible for maintenance and emergency repairs of Vertiv’s Thermal Management products and other contracted systems, maintaining excellent rapport with customers, sales managers, distributors, and field teams, and keeping ongoing communication with scheduling teams and the line/department manager.

Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Perform all work safely and in accordance with company safety policy.
• Perform work using good practice and current codes of practice/legislation relevant to assigned tasks.
• Assist in ensuring the planned maintenance completion rate is maintained at a minimum 90%.
• Keep scheduling team informed of changes to your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors with the site change form.
• Close tasks in Oracle Mobile Field Service (MFS) daily and complete weekly paperwork accurately and timely.
• Create reports using FieldDB system and ensure regular synchronization.
• Report sales or service leads to the proper department via the correct process.
• Support company vision and management decisions.
• Use email and other Office-based programs to maintain/enhance communications processes.
• Ensure that all Vertiv processes are followed.
• Keep company vehicle clean and properly maintained.
• Protect all tooling and company property issued.
• Work as part of the service team and support business needs.
• Take an active role in the callout rota.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 & 2, or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• City and Guilds 2078 or 2079 in Refrigerant Safe Handling, and subscription to ACRIB.
