Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor/Engineer to support a long-term EPCm framework at a leading pharmaceutical facility in Ware, Hertfordshire. This on-site role requires strong multi-discipline capabilities across civils, structural and architectural works, for both staff or contract arrangements.

You will safely coordinate contractors, drive progress and support execution through commissioning and handover in a live manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction supervision on large CAPEX projects.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on site.
• Experience working in pharmaceutical or regulated environments is a plus.

We are looking for site-based professionals with strong capability across civils, structural and architectural disciplines, available to join us on either a staff or contract basis.

Help Deliver Critical CAPEX Projects with Wood

Wood is looking for experienced a Construction Supervisor/Engineer to support the successful delivery of a long‑term EPCm framework contract at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Ware, Hertfordshire.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a construction professional who thrive in a fast‑paced project environment and enjoy taking ownership of site delivery. You'll play a key role in safely coordinating contractors, driving construction progress, influencing project execution, and supporting projects through construction, commissioning and handover.

Working within a live pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of CAPEX projects ranging from plant modifications and infrastructure upgrades to new installations, facility improvements, decommissioning and strategic investment programmes.

Projects will span a broad range of disciplines, providing varied and engaging work across:

• Mechanical equipment and package installations
• Piping and process systems
• Electrical power and distribution systems
• Instrumentation and control systems
• Civil and structural works
• Architectural and building modifications
• Temporary works
• Facilities upgrades and utility projects
• Demolition, decommissioning and disinvestment projects
• Commissioning, start‑up and operational readiness activities

You will be joining a highly experienced project team delivering a continuous pipeline of technically challenging projects that directly support the future of a major pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
