Job summary

Alina Homecare in Maldon is seeking a Field Care Supervisor/Senior Care Worker to support Care Assistants and ensure the smooth running of award-winning services. You will lead, supervise and mentor staff, conduct quality audits, and ensure compliance with CQC standards while delivering hands-on care when required.

The role offers local work with paid mileage, enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays, company car or car allowance, and opportunities for career progression to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a senior carer or team leader.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Flexible approach to working hours.

Responsibilities

• Conducting spot checks and quality audits on care staff.
• Supporting new staff through shadow shifts and competency assessments.
• Carrying out client reviews and risk assessments.
• Investigating and resolving complaints or concerns.
• Providing hands‑on care support when needed.
• Mentoring and coaching care staff.
• Ensuring compliance with CQC standards.
• Attending safeguarding meetings and MDT reviews.
• Maintaining detailed supervision records.
