Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Roadside Technician (field-based) in Harrogate for a national breakdown company. The role involves responding to roadside incidents, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs to get members mobile quickly.

You will work 40 hours a week, with overtime opportunities and a strong benefits package, including pension contributions and life insurance. A UK driving licence is required and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Formación

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or Level 3 qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.
• Customer-focused approach.

Responsabilidades

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
