Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is sourcing a Roadside Technician (field-based) to provide breakdown support for a national network. The role is permanent and full-time, with 40 hours per week, shifts from 6am to 12am, including weekends. OTE exceeds £60,000 with strong earning potential and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires a Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on vehicle experience.
• Customer-focused approach essential.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs (battery changes, wheel changes, minor engine fixes).
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions to keep members mobile and advise on next steps.
