Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Roadside Technician to perform field-based breakdown support for a national member company. The role is permanent, full-time, based in Chigwell and offers overtime, bonuses, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points and no bans.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
