Selwood Housing Society Limited in Trowbridge is seeking a Neighbourhood Assistant to support our neighbourhoods and customers. The role involves working closely with Neighbourhood Managers, customers and partner agencies to maintain safe, welcoming communities.

Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in English and Maths, experience in housing or public sector work, and strong communication and organisational skills. A commitment to fairness and respect is essential for this community-focused role.

Qualifications

• GCSEs English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Experience in a housing organisation or similar public sector environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational and administration abilities.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive environment where colleagues and customers are treated with fairness and respect.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of excellent services to customers and communities.
• Assist Neighbourhood Managers, customers and partners to keep neighbourhoods well managed and safe.
• Conduct neighbourhood inspections and tenancy visits; assist with resolving anti-social behaviour.
• Spend time in neighbourhoods, build relationships with customers and partner agencies, and observe the impact of work on communities.
