Job summary

Mears Group in Belfast is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across plumbing, joinery, plastering, and tiling. You will work in tenanted properties and voids, ensuring safety, function, and resident privacy, with a strong emphasis on customer service and timely completion.

The role requires hands-on trades experience, a valid UK driving license, and the ability to provide your own hand tools.

Qualifications

Experience in a core trade (Plumbing, Joinery, Plastering or Tiling).
Experience in multiple trades.
Excellent customer service skills.
Personable and works well under pressure.
Good time keeping.
Full UK driving license.
Ability to provide own hand tools including spirit level, screwdrivers and hammers.
Willingness to travel across Northeast where required.

Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted properties.
Completing plumbing tasks including removing old shower trays, fitting and replacing baths and taps.
Joinery duties include fitting doors, work tops and kitchen cupboards.
Repairing or replacing internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges.
Carrying out patch plastering and making good, damaged walls or ceilings.
Completing wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing.
Painting and decorating to a professional finish following repair works.
Ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Reporting any further works or safeguarding concerns beyond scope.
