Job summary

Mears Group PLC in Gillingham is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Operative to join our responsive repairs team. The role covers carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and more, delivering high-quality repairs in social housing properties.

Working across occupied homes, you’ll diagnose issues, carry out repairs safely and to a high standard, and provide excellent customer service. The position is full-time permanent with a 42.5-hour week and a company van with a fuel card.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in domestic repairs across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating).
• Ability to diagnose and fix issues across occupied homes.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across social housing properties.
• Perform trades such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating.
• Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
