Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to support a busy repairs contract in Belfast. This full-time, permanent role involves delivering high-quality repairs across plumbing, joinery, plastering and tiling, in tenanted and void properties, with a focus on safety, quality, and resident privacy.

You will travel across the Belfast area, carry out responsive repairs, manage a daily workload, and maintain tools and company vehicle, with a van and fuel card provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a core trade (Plumbing, Joinery, Plastering or Tiling).
• Experience in multiple trades.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to provide own hand tools including spirit level, screwdrivers and hammers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted properties.
• Completing plumbing tasks including removing old shower trays, fitting and replacing baths and taps.
• Joinery duties include fitting doors, work tops and kitchen cupboards.
• Repairing or replacing internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges.
• Carrying out patch plastering and making good, damaged walls or ceilings.
• Completing wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing.
• Painting and decorating to a professional finish following repair works.
• Ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Working in occupied properties with sensitivity to residents’ needs and privacy.
