Job summary
Esland is seeking a competent Maintenance Operative to join a multi-skilled team. You will perform maintenance and repair work across our care homes, including carpentry, plastering, painting, basic plumbing and electrics, and gardening, ensuring high standards of service.
You will work in the Bedford area with the wider maintenance team, handling planned and reactive tasks, and complying with safety regulations. A full driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience in all aspects of general maintenance to a high standard.
- Proficient in plastering, carpentry and decorating to support home maintenance services.
- Able to perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to liaise across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete general maintenance and repair in our homes.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks with the team.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and report issues to management.
- Be willing to work one Saturday every 6 weeks.
