Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager for logistics/transport/freight forwarding. The role is field-based across the UK and Europe, with diary management and home working when not visiting clients to build relationships and secure new opportunities.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in logistics, transport, or freight forwarding, a hunter mentality, and a full UK driving licence. You will travel across the UK and occasional Europe as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within logistics, transport, or freight forwarding.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and self-sourced leads.
• Book and attend meetings with prospective clients.
• Identify, pitch, and secure UK and European full/part‑load opportunities.
• Build long-term customer relationships and manage existing accounts as needed.
• Maintain CRM updates and sales pipeline.
