Job summary

VANRATH is recruiting on behalf of a market-leading electrical wholesale client for a field-based Business Development Manager covering Craigavon and surrounding regions. You will develop new business and grow existing accounts to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

You will build strong relationships with electrical contractors, industrial and commercial customers, visit sites regularly, quote opportunities, and work with the Derry branch to maximise revenue.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within the electrical wholesale industry.
• Experience in an External Sales, Business Development, Key Account Management or Internal Sales role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and solutions.
• Proven success in developing new business and managing customer accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, commercially driven and able to manage a territory independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across the region.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
• Build strong relationships with electrical contractors, industrial and commercial customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits, promoting the company's range of electrical products and solutions.
• Generate and follow up quotations, project enquiries and sales opportunities in partnership with the Derry branch.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and maximise revenue opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Work closely with internal sales, purchasing and suppliers to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.
