Job summary

Unity Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for field-based work with nationwide travel and a London base. This full-time role requires immediate/ ASAP start and flexibility for travel, including overnight stays, to manage site activities and report to the Project Manager.

The successful candidate will develop into a Project Manager, taking ownership of day-to-day site operations and communicating confidently with clients, subcontractors and site teams.

Qualifications

• 2-4 year's experience in construction, project management or a related environment.
• CSCS card required.

Responsibilities

• Full Site Lifecycle Ownership: manage a project from initial survey and mobilisation through installation, snagging, and client handover, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and suppliers on site.
• Independent Regional Site Management: run sites at a distance from the main office, including locations outside London and the South East, with minimal supervision.
• Fire-Door Surveys: conduct surveys and document defects to a standard suitable for client reports.
• Programme & Progress Reporting: track site progress and escalate risks early to the Project Manager.
• Procurement & Resource Coordination: manage material take-offs, ordering, and delivery tracking, coordinating subcontractors.
