Job summary

Telos Talent is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to bridge microbiology solutions with scientists in clinical and industrial labs. You will lead demonstrations, install, train, and support across healthcare, pharma, and food sectors.

You will travel extensively, deliver expert guidance, and stay current with regulatory standards to ensure successful technology adoption and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology or life sciences; MSc preferred.
• Hands-on lab experience in clinical diagnostics microbiology and industrial microbiology.
• Understanding of microbiological techniques, culture, identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and molecular diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate science into guidance.
• Ability to work independently in field-based roles; travel to multiple sites.
• Willingness to travel extensively within territory and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site and virtual product demonstrations for clinical and industrial microbiology systems.
• Provide installation, configuration, and validation support for new instruments and software.
• Train laboratory staff on best practices and workflow optimisation.
• Collaborate with sales to tailor solutions meeting regulatory and operational requirements.
• Offer post-installation technical support, including method development and application troubleshooting.
• Gather customer feedback to inform product development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of microbiology trends and regulatory standards.
