Job summary

Hyper Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support NHS and private microbiology laboratories. You will install, maintain and service advanced diagnostic instruments, travelling to client sites across the UK.

The role requires electrical/electronic qualifications and practical IT/networking knowledge, with emphasis on uptime and patient outcomes. This remote role includes travel to healthcare facilities and autonomous field work.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic qualification essential (HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Proven industry experience in electro-mechanical, electronic, or related engineering fields.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure and networked environments (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Commission and install advanced diagnostic instrumentation to agreed timescales and specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance to planned schedules and quality standards.
• Independently complete corrective service actions while following manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through strong communication, technical ability and rapid response to maximise system uptime.
