Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an Applications Engineer specialising in 5 Axis CNC machines. The role is field-based across the UK, with autonomous responsibility to train operatives and provide technical support.

You will visit sites, troubleshoot issues, build customer relationships and work primarily in the Midlands with some travel and overnight stays. A strong CNC background is essential and product expertise will be developed.

Qualifications

• Experience setting/operating/programming 5 axis CNC machines.
• Ability to train operatives on CNC usage and procedures.
• Willingness to travel across the UK, primarily Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Train operatives on how to use 5 Axis milling machines.
• Provide on-site technical support for customers and explain cutting techniques.
• Answer queries, resolve issues, and liaise with Sales on findings.
• Cover sites across the UK with overnight stays as required.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
