Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited seeks an Applications Engineer focused on Sliding Head lathes. You will train clients on programming and operation, deliver turnkey turnkey solutions, and demonstrate machine capabilities at client sites.

The role offers a 70/30 split between office work and customer visits, with a company car and a strong progression path within a leading CNC OEM environment in the Birmingham/Dudley area.

Qualifications

• Experience programming Sliding Head lathes.
• Able to train customers on machine programming and operation.
• Customer-facing role with some travel.
• Office and site visits arrangement with company car provided.

Responsibilities

• Conducting customer training on machine programming and operation
• Delivering turnkey solutions to customers
• Performing test cuts, demos and exhibitions
• Travel to customer sites and some office work (Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm)
