Job summary

ECS Resource Group is seeking an experienced Telecoms Infrastructure Design Engineer to support the planning and design of infrastructure build activities across a large-scale network estate in the UK. This is an initial 3-month contract with strong long-term extension potential.

You will produce detailed designs and build-ready packs, support HLD/LLD, review fibre routing and power constraints, and collaborate with Architecture, Deployment, Operations, Property and Supply Chain teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience designing network and fibre infrastructure for telecoms.
• Proficiency in creating high-level and detailed designs (HLD/LLD).
• Ability to plan infrastructure capacity and space, power and cooling requirements.
• Competence with CAD/design tools and producing build-ready drawings.
• Experience with site surveys and interpreting site layouts.
• Familiarity with governance, standards and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed infrastructure designs, drawings and build-ready packs.
• Support HLD/LLD and site-specific design activities.
• Review fibre routing, power, cooling, space and environmental constraints.
• Assist infrastructure capacity planning and future-proofing.
• Ensure survey data and documentation are accurate and complete.
• Work within engineering standards and design governance.
• Support design reviews and QA/QC checks.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Deployment, Operations, Property, Power and Supply Chain teams.
