Job summary

Aylin White Executive Search is seeking experienced Telecoms Design Engineers for long-term freelance data centre projects. The role involves designing OSP/ISP, Active and Passive networks, Network Rooms, Containment, Wi-Fi, ROIP, DAS and AV systems for global data centre developments.

You will collaborate with ICT and Security teams and participate in project meetings, delivering coordinated designs from home with a full remote setup in the UK.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of Telecoms/ ICT design on data centre projects.
• Experience with remote work setups and home office arrangements.
• Ability to design OSP/ISP, Active & Passive networks, Network Rooms, Containment, Wi-Fi, ROIP, DAS and Audio/Visual systems.

Telecoms Design Engineer – Data Centre Projects

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of high-profile projects, we are looking for a number of Telecoms Design Engineers to join a well-established global engineering and design consultancy on a freelance basis.

THE COMPANY

• Award-winning global multidisciplinary consultancy with an established international presence.
• Strong pipeline of work within the critical infrastructure/ data centre sector with major projects throughout UK and Europe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Telecoms Design Engineer will be tasked with designing the following systems: Outside Plant (OSP) & Inside Plant (ISP), Active Network, Passive Network, Network Room Design, Containment, Wi-Fi, ROIP, DAS and Audio/Visual
• The Telecoms Design Engineer will be collaborating with the wider ICT/ Security team as well as with multi-disciplinary design teams on large-scale data centre projects.
• The Telecoms Design Engineer will be delivering coordinated designs, attending project meetings.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

• The Telecoms Design Engineer will hold demonstrable experience of Telecoms/ ICT Design on data centre projects.
• The Telecoms Design Engineer will ideally have experience of Bluebeam, Revit and AutoCAD (although not essential)
• The Telecoms Design Engineer will have experience of working remotely with a full home set up
