Job summary

Connected Consulting Limited invites applications for Fibre Cabling Engineers to help build and expand next-generation fibre networks across the UK. The role is hands-on, with daily variations from pulling fibre through ducts to supporting overhead installations and connecting new customer sites.

You’ll work independently on-site, make sensible safety decisions, and collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to keep projects moving forward, delivering quality work safely and professionally.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing fibre optic or telecommunications infrastructure
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• A strong focus on health and safety
• Ability to work independently whilst remaining a team player

Responsibilities

• Install fibre optic cable across underground and overhead networks
• Test rodding and roping ducts prior to cable installation
• Support fibre blowing and network build activities
• Install and connect network infrastructure
• Carry out site surveys and assessments
• Ensure work areas are set up safely and in line with industry standards
• Complete work to a high standard whilst maintaining excellent customer service
• Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to keep projects moving forward
