Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Fencer in Lichfield for a full-time, permanent role. The position offers a competitive salary of £33,000–£37,500 per year depending on experience, plus a performance-related pay scheme and potential hourly-rate increases.

The role involves installing, repairing and maintaining a variety of fencing systems across multiple sites. A driving licence is required; CSCS desirable. Overtime opportunities and ongoing career development are included.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ proven experience in fencing installation.
• Experience installing a range of domestic and commercial fencing systems.
• A good understanding of health and safety practices within a construction environment.
• Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS Card desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installing a variety of fencing systems, including timber, closeboard, panel, post and rail, security, chain-link and metal fencing.
• Carrying out fencing repairs and replacements.
• Reading site plans, drawings and measurements to ensure accurate installation.
• Setting out work areas and preparing sites for installation.
• Digging post holes and installing posts using the correct materials and equipment.
• Using hand tools, power tools and small plant safely and effectively.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements and company standards.
• Working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
• Keeping work areas, tools and company vehicles clean and organised.
• Communicating professionally with customers, site managers and colleagues.
