Dimensions (UK) Ltd. in Worcester is seeking caring and proactive Female Support Workers to join our team, supporting four adults with learning disabilities and autism.

You will engage in activities, assist with daily living, and help create a safe, welcoming home environment. Training is provided, with opportunities for progression and a strong emphasis on person-centered care.

• Experience is not essential - full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support four adults aged between their 40s and 70s in Worcester (WR2).
• Assist with daily living, communication and activities, including swimming and outings.
• Provide hoisting assistance and support to a new service user using a wheelchair.
• Be a reliable, patient and proactive team member who communicates effectively with people who have complex needs.

Job description

We're looking for caring, proactive and enthusiastic Female Support Workers to join our team in Worcester (WR2), supporting four adults aged between their 40s and 70s. The people we support include people with learning disabilities and autistic people. Two ladies are blind, one gentleman has epilepsy that is well managed with medication, and three people communicate without words, using expressions, sounds, gestures and other individual ways of communicating. We're also excited to be welcoming a new lady to the home. She uses a wheelchair, requires hoisting support and communicates primarily through eye movements and facial expressions. Taking the time to understand her communication style and preferences will be an important and rewarding part of the role. You'll be a great fit if you're:

Shift times

• 8:00am - 4:00pm
• 1:00pm - 9:00pm
• Long day: 8:00am - 9:00pm
• Sleep-in: 10:00pm - 7:30am (£50 paid to sleep)

There are also opportunities for additional hours and overtime, particularly outside of college term times. Rotas are provided in advance to support planning and work-life balance.
